Research. Policy. Advocacy.

To change systems, we need to understand the structural and cultural contexts affecting stress and healing.

A twisted moss covered tree extends along the left side. Around it is a bright green moss covered mound. Behind it the yellow and orange of the sunset reflects in a blue pond. Ripples move across the surface in response to a breeze.

Stress, Trauma, and Trauma-Informed Care

Image of a river divided by land. One side of the river is muddy and brown, the other is blue. In the center the two colors mix slightly, but there is a clear line where they meet. Boat houses with rusted and tin roofs line the edge of the river.

Structural Competency

Structural humility and an understanding of structural barriers is crucial to healthcare, research, and education.
